BRAD BOYSON

Prior to becoming Executive Director for SHRM MENA in 2012, Mr. Boyson spent 15 years holding senior HR roles in globally diverse organizations including Mitsubishi Corporation (Tokyo), Royal Caribbean International (Miami) and most recently Hamptons/Emaar (Dubai). Mr. Boyson holds three business degrees, is a published author (Global HR Economics) and frequent keynote speaker around the world, most recently at SHRM’s 2018 annual conference in Chicago. Mr. Boyson was part of the development team for the new SHRM-CP/SCP body of competency & knowledge as well being one of the authors of SHRM new Learning System. He is a board member on UAE government & university advisory committees, leads SHRM’s Global Special Expertise Panel and represents SHRM on the ISO HR standards development project.

GARY BRADY

Prior to becoming Head of Human Resources for RCSI Bahrain in 2016, Gary spent 9 years holding HR Business Partner roles in Academic and Insurance organizations including RCSI Dublin and RSA Insurance (Ireland). In addition to being a chartered member of CIPD (MCIPD), Gary is an CEDR Accredited Mediator and qualified practitioner of MBTI. Gary holds an Honours Degree in Human Resource Management from the National College of Ireland and in his current role, leads a team of HR Professionals that are responsible for the implementation of the People agenda in support of the wider Organisational Strategy.

Ramakrishna Movva (Ramki) heads the strategic HR function within Emirates NBD Group. He leads the teams in HR Center of Expertise covering Learning and Development, Leadership Development, Talent Management, Performance Management and Organization Development. Ramki has over 30 years of HR and OD experience in South Asia and Middle East. He conceived, developedand successfully executed several human capital initiatives. The decade long HR transformation that Ramki led in Emirates Bank was captured as a business case by INSEAD Business School. Ramki is a HR graduate from Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, India. Subsequently, he obtained a postgraduate diploma in Occupational Psychology from University of Surrey, UK and a doctoral degree with concentration in Learning and Change in Human Systems from California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, USA. He is also an International Coach Federation certified leadership/life coach. He regularly participates in the regional HR conferences as a speaker and panelist.

Nuno is a Principal and leads Mercer’s Talent line of business for the MENAT region (Middle East, North Africa and Turkey). Nuno has been based in Dubai since 2008; he transferred from the Mercer Lisbon office where he joined in 2005. In his current role, Nuno leads a team of highly qualified consultants that support organizations throughout the region and across a variety of products and services (data, insights and consulting) that addresses their most complex talent challenges. Nuno began his career at Deloitte Consulting in the Strategy and Operations service line and later worked for companies in the energy and real estate sectors, including Shell, before joining Mercer.

NOUF AL SOWAIDI

With over 17 years of experience in Human resources across 7 industries ranging from the public sector to several financial institutions to telecoms and finally aviation, Nouf Al Sowaidi has been instrumental in the establishment and restructuring of HR departments and policies in addition to a suite of best practices in the HR field. Nouf joined Gulf Air in March 2018 as Director of Human resources prior to which she headed HR in Mumtalakat, Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund after serving the bulk of her career between Standard Chartered Bank and Zain, Bahrain. Nouf has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Bahrain, an MBA with a concentration in HR from New York Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Research from the University of Bradford, UK. Throughout her career, Nouf has been active in her community educating and mentoring university students to enhance their personal profiles and improve their employability skills. .

DAWOOD KHALIL AL ASHHAB

David is a Senior HR Leader with a wealth of 20 years of international experience, including an in-depth knowledge of industries such as Banking and Finance, Pharmaceutical and Tourism. David specialties cover Change Management, Talent Management, Mergers and Acquisitions, Performance Management, Employee Relations (including union-negotiation skills), Due-diligence, HR Audit, Service Delivery operations and transformation. Possess excellent communication and analytical skills with a genuine desire to motivate staff and serve clients. Able to effectively diffuse challenging situations by demonstrating excellent listening, and oral communication skills. Outstanding skills in negotiating and managing collective bargaining agreements and alternative dispute resolution processes (e.g. dealing with unions). Currently David is the Assistant General Manager of Human Resources and General Services at Bahrain Islamic Bank; where he also serve as an executive management member of both the Board Remuneration Committee and the Executive Management Committee. Prior to joining BisB, David managed the Human Resources team on a regional scale at Standard Chartered Bank; covering the bank’s offices in Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. He also served as a member of the Regional HR Leadership team in the UAE and a member of the Executive Management Committee in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. In addition to being a member of the Society of HR Management (SHRM), David is a certified Stakeholder Centered coach from Marshal Goldsmith Global, as well as a certified Strength-Finder coach which he obtained from Gallup University in the United Kingdom. Recently, David had completed a Master’s program in Leadership Digitalization from Zigurat – Global Institute of Technology, which is an affiliate of the University of Barcelona.
