Fouazi Bubshait has been elected as the President of the Arabian Society for Human Resources Management (ASHRM) January 2009. ASHRM is a Non-profit organization with a mission of promoting the HR profession and assist organizations within the Arab countries to improve their human resources capabilities. Fouzi has been working with Saudi Aramco for over 25 years and his current position is the Director of the Training Technical Support Dept in Saudi Aramco. He holds a BS and Master degrees in Computer Science & Engineering from KFUPM. In addition, he holds HRD Professional Certificate and Master Degree in HRD both are from Minnesota University as well as Post Graduate degree from Texas A&M University in USA.

Panos is member of the Board of Directors of Stanton Chase International as Vice Chairman Regions, and the Managing Partner of the U.A.E. He has been a member of Stanton Chase since 2003 when he started as General Manager of the Bucharest office and became Managing Partner in 2005. He is one of the shareholders of Stanton Chase in Romania, Bulgaria, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
Before being elected as Vice Chairman Regions, he served (and, currently, is still serving) as Vice-President for EMEA region, and he also was the Global Practice Leader in Consumer Products and Services practice group with responsibility over 65 offices in 45 countries and approximately 25% of the Global Revenue of the Firm.

Before joining Stanton Chase International he served as Chief Administrator of the University of Wales Swansea and Managing Director of IKRP Rokas and Partners, one of the largest regional law consulting firms with offices in 12 Southeast European countries.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Politics and International Relations (American University of Athens), a Master's degree in Diplomacy with Distinction -University of Lancaster- and a Ph.D specializing in International Law and Relations, while he is also graduate of Harvard Business School, Executive Education on Leadership Development. Additionally, he has graduated from the American European Academy in Austria, the Council of Europe and the European Academy in Sweden, Junior Chamber International where he served as a National President for Greece in 2003. He also holds a postgraduate diploma from the Officers Academy, Ministry of National Defence with focus on Economics/Strategic Defence.
Panos has multiple professional associations worldwide.
He was awarded, as CEO, the "Best Consulting Company of 2000 in Romania" award and the "Young Entrepreneur Award" for three consecutive years.
He has also published over 100 articles internationally on financial and business issues, participated in more than 35 Global and regional Financial and HR Conferences as a key note speaker and contributed to a number of TV and Radio presentations in several countries . Under his management, the Stanton Chase Romanian office has been awarded globally "Office of the year" for 2006 and 2007.

Prior to entering the corporate world, Francine worked with several government ministries and for the earlier part of her career she worked for 10 years as a criminal profiler. Mr Wael Albassam

Wael Al Bassam is the Corporate HR Manager of Zamil Industrial. He has an MBA from University College of Bahrain. He is also a Certified HR Manager and a Chartered HR Consultant.

Before joining Zamil Industrial, Wael worked for British Aerospace in the training function, and then at Khalid Al Turki as a Group HR Manager.

He has participated as a speaker in several workshops and seminars. He is an active member of SHRM, and ASHRM. He is also a member of the HR Committee in the Eastern Chamber of Commerce.


Mr Ebrahim Talib
General Manager - Refining

A Chemical Engineer by profession, holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Newscastle Upon Tyne, UK. Also holds Diploma in Management from Darden School of Business Administration, University of Virginia. Has 30 years experience in Bapco. Joined as Process Engineer in 1981 and held various supervisory and managerial positions in all areas of refinery operations. Currently holds the position of General Manager - Refining Division, and is responsible for the major part of the Supply Chain Process which includes planning, operations and oil storage & export functions. Refining Division, which is considered to be the most critical core area of Bapco's business, with a manpower of 930 employees, consists of a total of 7 departments; namely, Oil Processing (North & South), Refinery Operations Planning, Technical Services, Power & Utilities, Oil storage & Export and Fire, Health & Safety.
Some of the major improvement initiatives currently being led are:
- Energy Conservation and Optimization in the Refinery, which was successful in reducing the Energy Intensity Index (EII) by at least 15 points.
- As a member of the Steering Committee for the Productivity Improvement (PI) project, he is tasked with implementation of a number of potential energy conservation projects and manpower rationalization initiatives.
- Leader of the Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) to achieve sustainable world class performance in the fields of Environment, Health, Safety, Reliability and Efficiency. This will touch all areas in the Company and considered the highest priority in Corporate Strategic Plans.
Some of the initiatives led earlier included:
- Implemented the Single Level Operator concept for the first time in Bapco. The concept which resulted in significant benefits including manpower rationalization has since been implemented in all Refinery areas.
- Led the specification, design, testing and implementation of an IT SIGMAfine application for Refinery process data reconciliation which encompasses a total Refinery configuration modeling. The application is in use for daily Refinery operations.
- Led the implementation of Oil Loss Program and Slop Management committee which has so far significantly reduced Refinery-wide oil loss from more than 1.3% to 0.57%.
- Played an important role in the commissioning of 2HDU (Diesel Hydrotreater) revamp which is an important part of the Low Sulfur Desulphurization Project (LSDP).

Mr James Scalise

Jim Scalise is a Senior Trainer/Analyst at Saudi Aramco, a former member of the Advisory Board of Technology and Learning Magazine, honored by IBM as Educator of the Year for the Southern United States.
He has developed Saudi Aramco's Trainer, Mentor and Evaluator Certification Programs and has taught and certified thousands of Aramco staff in those specialties. He has authored related textbooks, and articles for online publications.
Jim has delivered major presentations to numerous groups of 30 to 300 participants throughout Aramco and to international conferences, on a variety of HRD topics related to Training, Mentoring, Coaching and Succession practices.

Ayman has more than 17 years of professional experiencein multi-nationals/local reputable firms in the fields of Oil, Retail, Manufacturing, Construction, FMCG and consultancy in senior positions in Human Resources Management and Consultancy.
Aymanis currently assuming the position of Human Resources Manager in Al Jaber Engineering - Qatar overseeing 15 different subsidiaries with a workforce exceeding 6,500 employees. Previously, has worked as Group Human Resources Director for Al-Jaber Group with scope covering 30 Subsidiaries and 68,000 employees in UAE, also as Human Capital Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers& Acting Principal Human Resources Consultant for the Middle East & Gulf Area. Prior to that, he was handling the HR function in Clorox, Carrefour (Majid Al Futtaim) and British Petroleum.
Ayman Acted as a consultant for several NGOs in Egypt as well as in UAE with Abu Dhabi Government, specialized in startup situations and restructuring of the HR function.
Ayman is also a key note speaker in several events
